In August 2019 Jabil announced an expansion to Albuquerque, purchasing an existing facility.  The company is a manufacturing solutions provider that delivers comprehensive design, manufacturing, supply chain and product management services across many industry sectors.  Jabil will invest $42 million in new technology and equipment and add 120 jobs over the next five years at the Albuquerque location.

About the Company

Jabil is a leading manufacturer of products that serve a variety of industries including automotive, health care and transportation.  The company is headquartered in St. Petersburg, FL, and employs over 200,000 in more than 100 locations worldwide.  The New Mexico location is a center of excellence for 3D printing. 

In 2020 Jabil was recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Most Responsible Companies. Criteria for the award includes social, environmental and corporate governance initiatives.  Last year Jabil reduced its carbon emissions by 49% and 50% of its energy from renewable sources.  

In New Mexico

The New Mexico facility was built in 1981 and totals 237,000 square feet on 66 acres.  It houses the fourth largest gamma irradiator in the world, providing exceptional capabilities in sterilization, complementing the site’s diversified packaging portfolio.  The Albuquerque location supports the consumables and health care industries, including the manufacture of orthopedic devices.
