SANTA FE – Today Secretary Jon Barela announced $15,000 in Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) funds will be awarded to San Miguel County for use toward construction and infrastructure improvements for Intergalactica, LLC, an umbrella organization for the Intergalactic Bread Company. LEDA is a program in the New Mexico Economic Development Department that funds, through local communities, infrastructure projects which are tied to job creation. The fundingfor Intergalactica will be used for the construction and renovation of the current building to turn it into a certified food processing facility. In addition, Intergalactica will also be constructing a second building for storage and the housing of refrigeration and freezer space.
