As part of a grant from the Economic Development Administration, EDD is embarking on an initiative to create a statewide economic development plan which will focus on immediate COVID-19 recovery and 5 and 20 year strategies. The plan will provide a regional SWOT analysis for developing targeted sectors identified as high impact within the state. EDD is working with an independent research institute to collect data and develop the plan. The effort is collaborative and will include numerous state agencies: IAD, EMNRD, DWS as well as the regional COGs and local economic development organizations.
