PNM submitted its application for economic development certification to NM EDD seeking certification of the Mesa del Sol Project as an economic development project. The application includes a request for an accounting order related to the installation of a second 115–12.47 kV transformer and switchgear at the existing Studio substation in the Mesa del Sol area of Albuquerque. The application also proposes upgrades to the existing 115 kV transmission line and the construction of a new three-breaker ring substation to provide looped transmission service through the area.
