Ambassador Program

Program Overview

The Creative Industries Division Ambassador Program is a volunteer-based initiative that empowers community members, creative professionals, and advocates to contribute to the growth and reach of New Mexico’s creative economy. Ambassadors support the Division’s mission through community engagement, professional insight, and on-the-ground program assistance.

Goals of the Program

  • Expand awareness of the division’s programs and resources.
  • Strengthen local creative ecosystems through professional volunteerism.
  • Cultivate a diverse network of creative leaders statewide.
  • Increase transparency and community voice in the grant review process.

Ambassador Responsibilities

  • Serve on at least one grant review panel per fiscal year.
  • Volunteer at division events (e.g., networking events, open hours, community visits, conferences).
  • Promote division programs via personal/professional networks.
  • Provide insight or technical expertise to support division outreach or strategy.

Who Should Apply

  • Artists, entrepreneurs, educators, and creative professionals from diverse backgrounds and regions of NM
  • Individuals willing to commit at least 10 hours/year.
  • Those interested in public service and community engagement.
