Boundary Changes 1900 to 1910:
Parts of Bernalillo County were taken to form part of McKinley County in 1901, Sandoval County and part of Guadalupe County in 1903, and part of Torrance County in 1905.
Part of Chaves County was taken to form part of Roosevelt County in 1903.
Part of Dona Ana County was taken to form part of Luna County in 1901.
Part of Grant County was taken to form part of Luna County in 1901.
Parts of old Guadalupe County were taken to form parts of Quay and Roosevelt counties in 1903. The remainder of old Guadalupe, with parts of Bernalillo and
Valencia counties, were taken to form Leonard Wood County in 1903. The name was changed from Leonard Wood to Guadalupe in 1905.
Part of Lincoln County was taken to form part of Torrance County in 1905.
Part of Rio Arriba County was taken to form part of McKinley County in 1901. Rio Arriba annexed part of Santa Fe County in 1902.
Part of San Juan County was taken to form part of McKinley County in 1901.
Part of San Miguel County was taken to form part of Torrance County in 1905.
Part of Santa Fe County was annexed to Rio Arriba County in 1902, and part was taken to from part of Torrance County in 1905.
Part of Socorro County was taken to form part of Torrance County in 1905.
Part of Union County was taken to form part of Quay County in 1903.
Parts of Valencia County were taken to form part of McKinley County in 1901, part of Leonard Wood County (now Guadalupe) in 1903, and part of Torrance County in 1905.
Boundary Changes 1910 to 1920:
Parts of Chaves County were taken to form part of De Baca County and part of Lea County in 1917. Also, Roosevelt County annexed a strip of land from Chaves in 1917.
Part of Eddy County was taken to form part of Lea County in 1917.
Part of Grant County was taken to form Hidalgo County in 1919.
Part of Guadalupe County was taken to form part of De Baca County in 1917.
Part of Roosevelt County was taken to form part of De Baca County in 1917. Also in 1917, Roosevelt County annexed a strip of land from Chaves County.
Boundary Changes 1920 to 1930:
Part of Mora County was taken to form part of Harding County in 1921.
Part of Socorro County was taken to form Catron County in 1921.
Part of Union County was taken to form part of Harding County in 1921.
Boundary changes 1940 to 1950:
Part of Rio Arriba County was annexed to Santa Fe County, and part of Santa Fe was annexed to Rio Arriba.
Part of Sandoval County was taken to form part of Los Alamos County in 1949. Also, between 1940 and 1950 part of Sandoval County was annexed to Santa Fe County.
Part of Santa Fe County was taken to form part of Los Alamos County in 1949. Also, between 1940 and 1950 part of Santa Fe County was annexed to Rio Arriba County,
part of Rio Arriba was annexed to Santa Fe County, and part of Sandoval County was annexed to Santa Fe County.
Boundary changes 1980 to 1990:
Part of Valencia County was taken to form Cibola County in 1981.
Boundary changes 2000 to 2010:
Part of Bernalillo County (the Bernalillo Co. portion of the Village of Corrales) was added to Sandoval County in 2005.

Otero County – 1899.
Quay County – 1903, organized from parts of old Guadalupe and Union counties, and in 1909 part of Quay was taken to form part of Curry County.
Rio Arriba County – 1852.
Roosevelt County – 1903, organized from parts of Chaves and old Guadalupe counties, and in 1909 part of Roosevelt was taken to form part of Curry County.
Sandoval County – 1903, organized from part of Bernalillo County.
San Juan County – 1861.
San Miguel County – 1852.
Santa Fe County – 1852.
Sierra County – 1884.

Taos County – 1852.
Torrance County – 1903, organized from parts of Bernalillo, Lincoln, San Miguel, Santa Fe, Socorro, and Valencia counties.
